Dreamworld officially launched its new ‘Motorsports Experience’ precinct to the public today, ahead of the busy post-Christmas school holiday period.
The star attraction of the new precinct is the Hot Wheels SideWinder roller coaster, which is a re-themed version of the popular Cyclone coaster, complete with a new train and Hot Wheels-branded station and area theming.
The new Hot Wheels train was made by Dutch rides manufacturer Vekoma, and offers a smoother ride experience and more comfortable restraint system, as well as on-board audio and a sporty new look.
Next door to the new Hot Wheels coaster is ‘Brock’s Garage’, an Australian motorsports museum featuring 30 Peter Brock vehicles, both authentic and replica.
The precinct also include six state-of-the-art racing simulators, a new quick service restaurant called Grid Burgers and Sports Bar, as well as a new retail store.
From today (Boxing Day) until 27 January, Dreamworld is open nightly until 9pm.
