Funfields, an amusement and water park situated approximately 40 kilometres north of the Melbourne CBD, has opened three new attractions just in time for the busy Christmas school holiday period.

The largest of the three attractions is a 113-metre-long ProSlide KrakenRACER waterslide, coincidently called ‘Kraken Racer’.

The slide, which is the first of its kind to be built in Australia, is a four-lane waterslide where riders race each other through a series of twists and turns before taking the final plunge towards the finish line.

The two other attractions recently introduced is a Mini Ferris Wheel and Samba Balloon ride, both of which were manufactured by Italian rides company Zamperla.

Finishing off a busy off-peak improvements regime, Funfields also re-themed its Pirate Ship ride and pirates-themed golf course, Treasure Cove.
