Following a nine month hiatus, the Green Lantern roller coaster at Warner Bros. Movie World returned to service this afternoon.
The Green Lantern originally closed in March after a freak incident where one if its cars was left dangling in midair.
An investigation has since revealed that a bolted joint in the wheel assembly caused the partial derailment, stemming from a design flaw with the wheel system itself.
Additional safety features have since been added to the ride, including strengthening the undercarriage and extra bolts added as a further fail-safe measure.
Movie World also sought independent engineering testing following the changes, and thorough reliability testing has been occurring over the past few months.
